I was born in Auckland New Zealand hence the name K9keewee, my dream is to work on both sides of the "ditch" .
My interest in Galen Canine Myotherapy began five years ago when my two-year-old Border Collie Sam was checked before starting contacts in agility. I was lucky enough to see a Galen Canine Myotherapist who suggested I had his hips checked by a vet only to find he had hip dysplasia, so the long road began navigating the minefield of what this actually meant.
"Who do I see, what do I do?"
Seeing the difference Galen Canine Myotherapy made to Sam ignited my passion to know more about myotherapy and to help improve the lives of other dogs.
So began my three-year study to become a Galen Canine Myotherapist ( Diploma of Canine Myotherapy (Dip Galen CMT) . It has been an incredible journey of learning, adventure and meeting truly amazing people entailing 3 years of theory and practical study.
Sam is now 7 years old and has a well-balanced team to keep him fit and pain free. He also still participates in agility, scenting and herding and lives life to the fullest.
Three years ago Toby entered our lives and was diagnosed with environmental anxiety. Canine Myotherapy has aided with bonding and Toby's emotional well being. He too joins Sam and participates in agility, scenting and herding.
I love to give my dogs one on one time to create bonds with them and love being a team.
